Tell us

We work tirelessly every day to ensure our world-leading standards are met, conducting more than 60,000 checks across the supply chain every year. However, we also rely on and encourage anyone who has witnessed what they believe to be a breach of these standards to let us know as soon as they are able.

Openness makes it easier for Red Tractor to assess the issue, obtain more information and thoroughly investigate the matter. We already gather intelligence from many sources including certification bodies, vets, the public, stakeholders, members and licensees and we also partner with other reporting authorities to help assess any issues and get as much information as we can.

Food CrimeFood standards agency

Food crime is serious fraud that impacts the safety or the authenticity of food, drink or animal feed. Things such as: slaughtering or preparing meat in unapproved premises or using unauthorised techniques, including a foreign substance which is not on the product’s label to lower costs or fake a higher quality, replacing a food or ingredient with another substance that is similar, but inferior, are all examples of food fraud.
