Red tractor works with independent inspectors to enforce our rigorous standards
To ensure Red Tractor’s rigorous standards are being met, we work with over 350 trained and experienced independent inspectors. Collectively they conduct over 60,000 inspections a year. That’s an average of 164 inspections every day!
The Red Tractor logo can only be used on food that has been produced, transported, processed and packed to Red Tractor standards and licensing rules.
The standards we use are specific to each farming sector (such as chicken, dairy or vegetables) and have been agreed by a panel of experts. This ensures that our standards are as robust as possible and you can be reassured that products carrying the Red Tractor logo are traceable, safe, and farmed with care.
