Red Tractor logos
The Union Jack on our logos confirms your food has been produced entirely in the UK, with every key step of its journey checked, from farms to pack.
All food and drink with a Red Tractor logo can be traced right back through the supply chain to the British farms it came from.
Making it easier for everyone to understand
We have strict rules on how Red Tractor logos can be used and you might have noticed our logos show up in different ways across the products we approve. Here’s a guide to our logos to help you understand the products you are buying and what the logo means.
Certified Standards
This logo is used for products where the certified ingredient makes up at least 95% of the finished product e.g. milk, fresh produce and meat.
The Certified Standards logo is our stalwart Red Tractor logo and tells you that the product you’re about to buy has been assured from farms to pack and is traceable, safe and farmed with care. We do the work, so you don’t have to.
Named Ingredient
This logo is used for products where the certified ingredient makes up less than 95% of the finished product, for example, the chicken in a chicken kiev. 100% of the named ingredient(s) must be assured.
This means that the named ingredient(s) in the product you’re buying has been approved by Red Tractor and, in line with our certified standards, is traceable, safe and farmed with care.
Enhanced Welfare
Underpinned by all the animal welfare, food safety and traceability checks of our Certified Standards, our Enhanced Welfare chickens are raised in spacious barns and have enriched living conditions in which to grow, roam and play.
Red Tractor assured chickens are raised by British farmers, who are inspected regularly to ensure they meet rigorous standards.
Free Range
Also underpinned by all the Certified Standards, the ‘Free Range’ logo is for poultry products where the birds have had access to outdoor ranges for at least half their life.
