Additionally, in collaboration with industry partners we have also shared our concerns directly with Steve Barclay, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/redtractor.org.uk\/licensing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2024\/05\/Red-Tractor-BPC-NPA-BMPA-Fairer-Food-Labelling-Consultation-1-May-2024-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CLICK HERE TO READ OUR LETTER IN FULL<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Method of production is not an indicator of animal health and welfare. It ignores other factors, such as breed, management practices, and environmental conditions, which are equally, if not more, critical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The proposed labelling approach will not increase consumer understanding or help them make informed choices.
